Hey fellas, I don't get around here much, but I'm hoping to again in the future (another XJ is in the works) but it's time to part with this 'ol girl. Life is taking me in a new direction and I just don't have the time and energy to take her out anymore. As tough as it is, it has to be. So for those of you that know the truck, now's your chance! You can check out the entire build thread here: http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/dr-rides/209570.htm
I'm looking for $8700 the way she sits. Over the next month or so I'll be installing carpet, door panels, and stripping everything down to bare metal (cage, engine cage, bed cage) and painting it. After that I'll be in the $9500 price range. So if those things aren't important to you, hit me up before I start dropping money into it.
The truck is a '91 Ford Ranger
4.0 OHV from a '93 with unknown mileage? Runs strong, no issues
5spd m5od swap w/ Hurst short throw shifter
All fab work performed by Ryan Jubera
Suspension:
Custom one-off center mounted A-Arm suspension
Fully fabricated bulkhead
Tig welded fabricated lower arms
Heimed/fabricated uppers and uprights
SAW 2.5 exteded resi coilovers
Bilstein 2.0x2" hydro bumps
D44 front hubs
Custom swing set heimed steering with all new FK heims
Deaver G50 race pack in rear
Custom 4.5" shackles
Kartek flipped drop hangers
Fox 2.5 Piggyback 16" triple bypass shocks
Bump can mounts (no bumps)
F150 8.8 (wider) with 4.88 gears and Yukon DuraGrip locker with carbon fiber clutches
General info:
The truck is caged bumper to bumper, full engine cage, tied to complete and WELL TUCKED cab cage, tied to a full rear bedcage. Everything is 1.75 .120 wall DOM. Plated shock mounts front and rear.
Custom remote booster brake setup with CNC master cylinder feeding a CNC slave for the relocated power master and booster to allow for engine bay space while retaining power brakes
Alcoa 15" forged aluminum wheels with 35x12.50x15" BFG KM2 tires (95% tread)
Fullsize BFG A/T spare mounted on matching Alcoa wheel
Glassworks front and rear glass (front glass and one bedside cracked from too much sicky gnar travel)
The glass can be fixed, or realistically replaced in the long run with wider glass. Or DGAF and run it.
2 PRP custom build +4 tall and +2 wide seats with Tan vinyl, black piping, and black suede center in excellent condition
Rear mounted Optima Yellow top
Race Radio and wired antenna
3 Hella 4000's on front bumper
2 LED dust lights
2 LED brake lights
LED interior lighting
Interior currently has no dash or door panels.
Also have a Bronco II tank for the truck that I have yet to install
Overall it's a very solid truck that's provided me with TONS of fun, and with a bit more time, could be a very nice daily driver. My plan was finish the interior off, install a $500 vintage air, and have a dash made and it'd be super comfy to cruise every day in. I just no longer have the time to devote to the build. My loss is your gain. The rear end has maybe 500 miles on it, the trans has been recently replace, along with a new clutch, master, and slave. Feel free to call or text in regards to the truck if I can answer any questions:
