Nominees

OK.....now that you are nominated.....tell us something about yourselves and why you are running.....

Don't forget, voting starts in less than a week.....and even though a bunch of us know you guys already, there are a number in this chapter who probably don't....

Randy, I moved this to its own thread to keep the other thread for nominations only.

As far as me....

I am Rev.

I am running for VP because after sitting on the sidelines and seeing this chapter grow I want to be involved in its direction. I think everything is going very well, I am all for maintaining status que, and addressing issues as they arise. The current BOD has done a great job in getting us up and running and I only hope I can live up to their example.

Feel free to ask me anything.

My name is Matt Roberts and I'm running for the Recorder position. I am running because I had been sitting on the sidelines as a member and have started to become more active in the club in the last year and feel I can be a positive influence, if allowed the opportunity.

I am an Army veteran and have served eight years in various positions including Operations NCO, Construction Team Leader and acted as Communications Manager for ~600 Soldiers. I have experience with writing SOP's from scratch and setting up co-workers for success. I take great pride in a job well done.

If you would like to know where I stand on any issue, please ask and I will let you know my views.

My name is Adam Dowling. I'm 28 years old and married to my wife of 2.5 years, Ashley, whom most of you have met. We have a 16 month old daughter Danika.

I'm running for MWC BOD because this is the greatest chapter in the national club and I believe I can contribute positively to its direction. I want to be Recorder specifically because there doesn't see to be a clear list of responsibilities for the position. I say that not because it would be easy to be a slacker, but because I feel it's an important position that needs attention and definition. As an engineer, documentation is a way of life. Standardizing the way things get done, is a way of life. Acting as Recorder (as I envision the position to be) would be an extension of what I do every day and I happen to be very good at it.

At this time, there is very little if anything I would change about this fine chapter. Assuring it continues to stay on the path it is, and has always been on, is very important to me.

I have known the current BOD members and the prospective members for a few years now and would consider working with any of them whose terms coincide with mine a pleasure.

My name, as most of you know, is Michael Hale. I've been around NAXJA for roughly 4 years and have been a member since 2005. In December, I will turn the big 30. I have been married to my wife Heather, for 6 years. We have two kiddies, Reaghan(Beave) is 5 and Brayden (Bubba) just turned 1. I am currently employed by an OEM lighting manufacturer in my hometown of Flora, IL. I work in the Quality Lab as a Technician.

I'm running for the position of President for the MWC. It is my opinion that the MWC has gotten off to to a great start since it's creation and I intend to keep that going to the best of my ability. I've never been a huge fan of change but, I do always keep an open mind to everything. I feel that humor makes the world go around, I love to see people laugh. I do like to have a good time, but there is a time and place for it.

I would be happy to attempt to answer any questions that you may have. I'm far from a politician, but I'll give it my best shot. :D

My names is mac 'Matt Rowland' gyvr. I'm 29 and have been around Naxja since December of 99 when I bought my XJ and found the site. I was in Attica when the 1st winterfest happened. I didn't not attend the event officially, but met several of the guys that did attend and made many friends from the beginning.

I joined NAXJA in May of 2000, so some of you may consider me old and crusty. I did a short stint on the BOD (a year) of the National BOD as the events coordinator in 00-01 until the position was eliminated as a result of a reorganization of the BOD at that time. I learned a lot in that time, there were some ups and downs and I learned from every experience. Since that time I have changed jobs and recently found a career (public safety). I've been able to organize my time in the last two years so that I have more time to support and get involved with NAXJA.

I love to wheel and most of the time enjoy working on my junk...well now I have two piles. I like it when things go smoothly, I get tired of internet drama and just want people to get out and enjoy wheelin, having a good time, and the socializing around the campfire. I've been using the same signature (down there at the bottom of every one of my posts) since the beginning...and I believe in it!

If elected I will work with the current BOD in the transition and work hard with the new BOD. If I am not elected, I will still support whomever gets elected.

No matter what, if you are still reading this, come to winterfest in March and start making plans to attend the Moab event next October.

Get your stuff built this winter...spring is coming...
