so everyone out there financing AC Cobra kit cars should have just saved up $75k before they bought it?
yeah... :smoker: you dont finance toys, you finance something thats gonna retain somewhat of a value. toys.. do not.

besides. you cannot finance a kit car. Call me a Noob all you want i worked in the field, if its not listed in Cuddle its not financable as an auto loan.

and besides. what kind of idiot needs to finance a $75k kit car? i could understand a loan off your own equity into something like a house to BUY a toy. but thats because its not a loan on the toy your purchasing.

Anybody financially responsible knows Financing anything is a bad investment. thats why you limit it to Homes and automobiles.. aka Necessitys. anything more isnt worth the interest your paying.

ahem, Imo..

take it easy on him guys :P. He's buying a toy to have fun on and at the same time establishing some credit.

everyone buying parts online for their jeeps with credit cards shouldnt?

everyone financing a $40k tow rig to tow their now toy jeep, when they could just buy a saturn for $10k shouldnt be?

Im all for staying outta debt, but if you can make the payments... why not enjoy something?

Id buy a Polaris RZR in a heartbeat if I didnt already have a 2 seater toy that I had to tow everywhere it goes...
Exactly, when you die you can't take that money with you. Enjoy yourself while you can.

What kind of rate did you get with the loan?

A few years ago I bought my first brand new motorcycle and I was so excited that I got apporved through Suzuki financial....... AT 18%!!!!

It didnt take me long to figure out that was a horrible idea, I eventually got rid of it cuz the payments were killing me and I wasnt getting anywhere.

I want an enduro. A toy that can pay for itself! Yamaha TW200 is what I want. Small, economical, but still enough that I'd have fun with it.

I bought a 1988 Honda Fourtrax Trx300 a couple of months ago for $300. It sat for about 6 years or more, the tires had rotted, brake lines were clogged up and needed a new gas tank. So after buying new tires $200, off of a 2006 Kawasaki i think, repairing the brake lines $20, and repairing the gas tank, I think we sealed it or something like that, $50 I had myself a pretty nice ride. For a little over $550 this 4-wheeler will take me pretty much anywhere I desire to go even though its only 2wd. It only really has problems in the mud, it will go over almost anything. If I had actual mud tires I would be better off, but my Dad's Polaris 400 Sportsman can pull me out if I really get stuck. It may not be as nice as the newer 4-wheelers, it definetly rides much rougher, and doesn't go as fast, but I'll take it for $550 instead of a $7,000+ 4-wheeler. You still have a really nice one nonetheless, if I had the money I might buy a better one than I have now, but im fine for now.
