thanks dude.. im goin to cut the front engine cage off and rebuilt it so the truck will sag more because right now i have about 14" of up travel because the shock towers are not high enough in the engine cage.. i only want about 8-9" of up travel.. with 2" of that being bump.

when i raise the shock tower it will lower the trucks stance but i can still adjust the caster of the wheels also to be close.. but def not straight vertical but it isnt a street truck...

it also has a ford 9" fully trussed 31 sline with a strange spool and set up for a 3 link. so thats what it will be getting

yea ive been back and forth with all of them about it... shields has an explorer with about 9" of up travel but he runs a 4" bump and tucks 37"s and his shit works amazing. walwrath says the same.. but then you have guys like helton or dan vance that say the opposite.. now dan can be fast not matter lol

i have to lower my stance because the way it is setup is rediculous... its like im goin to tuff trucks or a bro show or monster jam lol.. lower stance is faster thru corners as the same as wider is more stable.. it will be setup to work well

any body else notice anything about this axle? were the f is the vent? i think im gonna drill one into the fill cap

Not just that, That housing is an old 60's era with the small weak tubes. Save up some money and buy a newer one. Even though it's trussed the tubes are still super thin. Look for one with the bigger center or if you can still find them, the "V-cut" housings. Either way you can swap the 3rd member out.
