No Jeepin For Awhile?!?!?!?!?

Thursday night my wife calls me and tells me my stepson (no license) took my XJ and totaled it!!!! :flamemad: :flamemad: :flamemad: :flamemad: :flamemad: You see, I am out of town (Virginia) for military training and had to leave my heep home. I had given my wife the spare key in case of emergency. Well, he took the key without her knowing and while she was at work Thursday he decided he was going to have a little fun with stepdads jeep. Now it sits in the garage with the roof caved in windows busted out................yes, the foolish child tried to wheel it and rolled it pretty bad!!!:gee: Now I have a real heep and no means to wheel this summer as planned..............:eye: :bawl: :flamemad: :flamemad: :eye: :eye: :eye:

So she didn't kill him? Good thing, I see a lot of sweat equity in his future.

Seriously though, I'm glad you aren't making a more dreadful announcement.

Yeah, he was smart enough to use the seatbelt...............my baby was the only casualty.

He is sitting in PYC right now contemplating his retarted adventure.......:dunce:

PYC = Platte Valley Youth Corrections......

Guess the little goober got charged with auto theft or a variety of other potential violations.

Always makes me wonder what the hell kids do to mentally convince themselves that doing something like taking their parent's car without permission is ever a good thing?

Glad no one got hurt, but yeah - the kid needs to learn from this and definitely be put to task in paying for the damage.

I imagine this will be a straight up loss huh? Insurance isn't gonna cover that I don't suppose. :dunno:

Insurance is coming by tomorrow. Might get something out of it BUT not what I have in it! Ruined my whole damn summer!!!! :firedevil Yes, he has been charged and I will request he pay restitution for destroying my heep, it was a pretty little thing ( lots of stickers :D )

Ouch!
Wow, I can only imagine how angry you are. I let my brother borrow mine for Home Coming, and he was grounded any ways. He was to go only to school and back from the dance.
decided to take if off roading by his work. and calls my dad (he knew I would have killed him had I gotten the call)
Broke my cradle the drive shaft sits in.
Not nearly as bad as in your case. But I have a slight idea as too how pissed you are.

I gave my little brother my lifted Samurai to use while I was in Iraq. First he layed it down on its side (breaking a motor mount in the process), then he wrecked it into a guard rail, then he blew the motor and sent it to a junkyard.

I feel your pain man, goodluck with everything.

On the bright side it was the loss of my Zuki that got me into XJ's. Maybe you can use this oppurtunity to get into a Zuki, those things are great little wheelers and cheap to build. :D

Insurance came by today and TOTALED it!:tears: Now I will have to fight to get as much as possible out of the insurance company........then maybe buy it back. Who knows maybe some good will come out of this whole thing.......? :peace:

We could put that plasma to use and just tube it from the start!! Sorry to hear about this man. Let me know when you make it back to town.

If I can buy it back we may be giving my plasma and mig a workout!!:repair: I am also looking for another heep 97-01. If any body has a good lead on a heep I would be grateful!
