No heater, defrost only.

I'm stuck on defrost. And it's cold here. the air is warm, but not coming from the right place. I've looked over the vacuum lines and am not seeing a problem. If the AC is or vent is selected then I get air out of the vents, and the 4Wheel drive engages fine. (I still have a vacuum disco) So I'm thinking not a vacuum problem.

What is next to look at?

have you checked the vacum lines at the canister behind the bumper, and also checked the canister for any cracks? Mine had a leak right there that casused the same problem.

20 bucks says it's the vacuum hose inside your front bumper. I drove around for 3 months with only defrost. If something happens to that line, the default blower is defrost. Make sure it is in there snug. The first few times I put it back in, it wasn't in completely. You'll know when it is in all the way.

Did your vents work? It does on mine. Looking over the canister and line up to it, they look okay.

Installed a stereo lately? I knocked off the control lines from back of my heater control when I installed mine - same effect as if the line was broken/disconnected at the other end.
