Bought my cherokee awhile ago and is slowly getting to where I want it. Unfortunately my other addiction (racing/riding) has taken away most of my money for my jeep but that will change soon. I hate having it stock looking...

1999 Sport
Mods so far:
Dana 44 rear w/arb
4.10 gears
lebaron hood vents
Icon wheels
factory skids

I have been doing tons of research and have a good plan for the future. I'm hoping to get it set up by summer and making some runs to deer valley, barney riley, etc. Looking forward to meeting some new people.

Welcome! I feel ya on the riding.. that sucks up money just like the jeep.
Hope to see you out on the trails!

hey, wait a minute, don't let these bozos scare you.
it's really safe to follow me on the trails. :gee:

as long as you have a full cage, are rolling on tons, & have really-REALLY good insurance on your rig! :wow:

Thanks guys! Right now the plan is to build a capable DD, but with mods that will fit with my future plans. Hopefully I'll do things right the first time and have a good base for when it becomes just a trail rig.

My rig is a DD and 33's work great for the commute. Welcome, and post up your build plans.

I hear ya, I might atleast take a break to get this thing built.

Thanks! I'm planning something similar to yours... I actually live in rocklin as well.

Lift - possibly DPG 4-4.5" and a 3 or 4-link (poly) I like TNT but I figure if
I'm gonna spend the money might as well do it right

Tires - origional plan was 265s hence the 4.10s but now I'm considering
some 33" pizza cutters. Maxxis or KM2 (1 ton steering?)

Armor - possibly custom but more than likely Dirtbound DIY kits and
custom sliders, HD offroad frame stiffeners

Misc - I'd like to get some small stuff out of the way soon like exhaust,
trans cooler, maybe a high flow water pump and eliminate the mech
fan with an electric set-up. As well as some of the things that
don't cost much like trimming fenders, beefing up axle mounts, and
relocating shock mounts

As well as the needed things like sye, driveshaft etc.

I recognize that trail - we call it Pine Needles (aka Sourgrass and Board's Crossing). Nice XJ.

The pile of parts I had before the xj:

Two dana 44 ARBs w/ 4.10s (would you believe $75 a piece?! I love pnp!)
Carr light bar
lebaron hood vents
Dana 44 out of an 88 xj
