i might do that soon. i'm gonna hafta get some taller shocks, too. those are just about fully extended on flat ground, even though they're only about an inch shorter that eric's with a 6" lift. the guy at o'reilly's says they'll give me my money back from these toward some taller ones.

i wouldn't count the locker, yet, bro... thanks again to all of you who helped with this stuff guys! i mentioned you all in the weekend is over thread. i'm goin over to Eric's house today to try and get that locker to act right. if it won't it's back in with the spider gears.

I still think it's something with the rear axle and not the locker, being that it still pops while driving straight with the rear drive shaft out. Your axle ahafts are traveling at different speeds.

ha thanks mark! me too! well we couldn't get the locker to work, because i guess it's specifically for a c-clip 35, so i guess i'm S.O.L. as far as that locker goes... anybody wanna trade me for a non c-clip locker for 35? otherwise it's for sale for $100

when i put my lockright in the d35 of my 89 it was for either cclip or not. only difference added was a slot area on the outside gears to slide the c clip onto and i didnt have a cclip axle and worked fine...
did you check the distance between the carrier inside lips (where the OS gears rest on) and the locker width "closed/locked" if your D35 carrier is different than the d35 application lockright you would notice a difference in the distance.
what i am thinking is that it wont grab the gears because its not closing up together properly and it slips...just a thought.

yeah, we measured the gap between cams and it was actually too close, according to the aussie instructions. we don't have all the directions for this locker though. it's a Quick Lock, i think, instead of a lock right. at least that's what the box said. i think i'm just gonna sell this locker that may or may not be made to work in this axle, and put the money toward one for an 8.25, and just swap axles while i'm at it.

went and tested out the new lift. it flexes purty good, and rides nice and smooth on and off road. found out that you can pretty much drive from my house all the way into murfreesboro in the creek behind my house, with the right equipment

i got tired of having to bunjee my swaybar to my subframe when i wanted to unhook it. i don't want my disconnects banging around and possibly gettin f'd up by my axle, so i bought these. they are threaded at one end and come with 2 nutz and a lock washer. the other end has a hole drilled in it, specifically made to accept the style of lynch pin that comes with the disconnects. when you buy the disco's new, they come with something similar to this, but when you get them for free, they might not. these were very cheap at tractor supply, and are waaayyyy beefier than the ones that jks provides, which i think are hollow aluminum. schaweet. i'll be installing my disconnects and these babies in the morning.

ha! no welded rear for me... i actually traded the locker to the guy that has my old jeep for my winch back. i'm gonna hafta cash in on the warranty and get meself some new solenoids and a switch that doesn't suck. if they won't honor the warranty, i'll ghetto rig a set from tractor supply for their champion winches. i think the bumper looks a lot better with a big roller fairlead bolted to the front of it...
