Unfortunately, had to modify it to work with my IRO long arm brackets. Modification would not have been necessary had I mounted it under my long arm brackets, but that was entirely too much work than I wanted to do, besides, it'll make servicing the transmission/transfer case easier this way.

You'll notice the "windows" in the frame rail. Had to replace the nutsert that had broken. Those will be welded back closed.

All in all, I am impressed with the design. Some of the holes didn't quite line up, so I had to elongate them more, but after that, went splendidly...

Huh? These can be bent? Kinda expected the XJ to fold around it.

Am I supposed to worry? :dunno:

Haven't been able to bend mine yet :dunno:

Mine has bent twice now, the first time it bent we pulled it off and straightened it then re-installed it. The second time it bent I said F this and just ran it.

My welds along the radius arm brackets also started to crack, and the holes for the arms ovaled out. Before anyone asks, yes the bolts were all tightened down and properly installed.

Interesting...I installed their Y-link setup on a buddies XJ...I'll have to check his brackets. Thanks for that info.

its a big long piece of sheet metal..... throw 4 thousand pounds of moving xj and a rock into the mix and it will bend, no matter how thick it is... just take a look at my .375 wall chromoly frowny face tierod for proof ;)...... usually i dont pimp tnt products BUT of all the replacement crossmembers on the market this one seems to hold up pretty well in comparison to everything else thats out there... ive seen them take some good abuse firsthand

It wasn't the product bending that really bothered me, when the holes ovaled and the welds started to crack I called them up and PM'd them. It was my fault for all this, not faulty materials or craftsmanship. Then when I met them in Moab they refused to believe anything that I said, last time they get any business from me.

Mine has bent before too. actually if I put a straight edge on it the middle it was about 1.5" bent up.

I have to side with TnT on this one! Their stuff is some of the best out there! Reguardless of who makes what, everything is subject to failure with the right abusive driver at the wheel! Just look at your avatar!

i will def. agree thats some serious BS. weld cracking and holes egging out has a lot to do with the quality of steel and welding procedures being used...... now that is a well founded complaint on their product

Not really!! There are those that create the problem then try to blame it on someone else........ I am sorry but I have seen, installed and worked on alot of their products and they are top notch! TnT is not going to send out a product with crappy welds! Is it possible the steel was bad .......... maybe..... but I doubt it. Everything I have seen go wrong with TnT products has been caused by abuse by the owner or improper installation. Nothing is perfect and prone to failure if abused or installed incorrectly!

I'd like to motion that ColoradoRaptor be disallowed from using exclamation points for 30 days :D

Looks good, hope you're happy with it.

thats the beginning of the launch, went up maybe another 2-3ft, slammed the bellypan right on the crest of that hill. bent it up an inch or so, it pulled my uniframe rails in, and buckled my floors. not badly, but yea.

TNT is still beef as hell though, any other skid and i would have been for a MUCH longer day with lots of broken parts.
