yeah the bank has a lein on the PO and he had to sell the truck as a unit before they did, so he made an agreement w/ the bank that if he could sell whole or seperated and had 2 buyers they woudl let him. I bought the truck and he had a local guy buy the box...for storage :D

Camille would kill me if i had another unsightly thing sitting around the yard. I actually thought it would be a good chemical storage container and seed storage for grass/legume seed and it would be easy to climate control.....

Got the call that the box is finally off the truck and ready for pick up...gonna try to get it home tonight.....

Tyler, I'd make sure I get it out of there ASAP, don't give them the opportunity to do anything. The cynic in me says file for abandoned vehicle if it's not gone by tomorrow.

truck is home and now the decision making processing is really going on in my head.....they hit the corner of the cab when taking the bed off, so now there is a dent there that is unsightly, but the more I think about it I would use it more as a hauling vehicle around the farms then I would as a Jeep toter. I am not sure what I want to do at the moment, so it will sit until I get a few more projects tied up around here.

here she sits in front of my shop tonight...I should really be working on something I suppose.

I have found 2 different 60" BENTZ flat top sleepers for under $250 each. They came off Internationals, but will take some mild fitting to get to work. The prices are right, I just have to make a trip to Joplin to pick one up. They have a few more for $400 each, but I am probably gonna go cheap and redo the inside to my likings. I have also found a few flat beds that are 10-11' long on CL, but not sure if they will cause me more work then it is worth to make what I want out of them....once again, they are cheap and I may just make them work.

I am working with @ 16' of frame behind the cab, so that is where the 5' sleeper and 10-11' flatbed is coming from.

Seems like it would really be worth being able to haul a rig on the bed...whether you extend the frame to accommodate a longer bed or just throw a longer bed on the existing frame...

No more then I actually wheel, I cant justify making the bed that big b/c it would make it too long on the back side to get a GN trailer to reach the ball (over teh axle mount), and it would be an even bigger bitch to manuever through some of the small areas that we have for our corrals. This truck will see 90% of its totting with a stock trailer or the portable corrals.

Now I am trying to decide if I want to put on a flat top sleeper with an adjustable air foil or just leave it flat w/o a wing etc. Probably gonna leave it flat and not worry about a wing due to the height and getting caught on trees etc around the farms.

seems like it would be easier to me to cut the back of the cab and extend it back some. make an extended cab out of it instead, then you could use just the space you need for a back seat and still have plenty of room for a flatbed

It will have a flat bed w/ a trap door to the GN hitch. With a 10-11 ft bed, it will have planty of room in front of the GN hitch to mount a SBS or ATV. As far as cutting the cab and extending it, that would not help me in the sleeping area department. I am wanting a sleeper for the few random trips that I do randomly go on and I hate tent camping. I dont need anymore then 10-12' of flatbed for my purposes, we have other trucks if we need anything bigger. I was looking at the frame and driveline last night and thinking about shortening the wheelbase a foot or two....still a lot of thoughts running through my head.

I have not Blake, I am thinking about scoring one in Joplin and making a trip out of it to see the family etc. Mom and Dad are getting older and I need to get down there more often then I do.

so tyler..i found out ours is not an "e" either....wanna race? im going to try to mess with it some day when the weather is a bit nicer :)
