Just wanted to introduce myself. Just moved to Lakewood, Co about a month ago from Chicago.

Glad to be here. So much more to do :yelclap:. Planning some family trips soon up to the mountain trails that i found on trail damage.com. Any info about places to check out would be great or any trail rides i could join would be great too.

My rig is a 95 xj with a 5" on 33s with a few other mods and more to come.

Any meet and greets coming up?

Thanks,
Daniel

Welcome to Colorado!

Do post up what trails you are planning to run.

Be sure to tell everyone you know that Colorado is full.

Welcome.

In Lakewood too -- prolly pass you now and again. If you see a tired black '93 with (roughly) the same lift, 33 M/Ts, safari rack up top with the spare and hi lift bolted on, throw a hand up. (If it's newer or nicer, you can still do it, but it ain't me...)

Oh ya, and there's a red letter sticker on the driver cargo glass.

Since I can't afford to break anything right now or burn much gas, I'm a fan of Barbour Fork. In my very limited experience, it seems to give a good taste of CO Jeeping in an easy jaunt up the hill. You're rolling right thru Idaho Springs, so it's got some sightseeing built in.

Hey Ya'll.

Thanks for the kind words. I will keep a look out for ya Squarecat.

I will let them know it's full :) I'm just glad to be here.

The trails i'm looking at is "oh-my-god-road" and "russell gulch" They seem close, scenic and good starters for a day of fun. Been awhile since i have hit any trails so taking it easy. specially with my wife's xj which is a work in progress and her sisters 4dr wrangler. Figure we see what they are made of. :)

Welcome! I live in Wheat Ridge, just a few miles north of you. Oh-My-God road is basically a wide dirt road with some steep dropoffs on the sides. Great views though. Russel gulch is fun, lots of cool things to see. Enjoy Idaho Springs while you're in the area.

Welcome, Daniel! There is a lot of Colorado out your back door. :)

Thanks for all the info and kind words. I cant wait to check out all the great places to see. I sold all my jeeps before i moved here to help fund the move. Since then i have been riding my dual sport. up until the rain and decided i needed to get a jeep quick. I picked up one of the members jeeps on here. Since i don't have any place to wrench it only made sense to get a rig that was built and i can modify as i see fit. So far i have been very happy with it. I have some future mods in mind :) hope the link works.

Welcome to Colorado. Too bad I'm working out of state for a while. I would grab the Wells books on Colorado trails. Don't know if it is open, but Red Cone and Radical Hill are a couple of my favorites and easily can be run as a round trip in a single day.

Look forward to meeting you when I get back.

Yea, been awhile since i hit the gym. Just cant commit to it. Taking a hike, bike ride, run or wrenching have been good so far. :)

it's good! free showers, free water, and there is a wendys and arbys right there.. haha.. jk. I almost live there.. I think i'm there 5-6 days a week. sometimes 7. :looser:

Here are just some of the pics we took from yesterday. Great time out there. The wheeling was perfect for the 4dr to get it broken in. Looking forward to some more rewarding technical trails very soon. :)
