Got a nice package from UPS. Actually it's been awhile since I got these from Hooligan Offroad. But it's been a very slow process that's still ongoing. Anyway, it started with getting this nice bundle.

Which held all of these parts. The rears are a new version Hooligan made for me with the flare and the rub rail.

The stock ones looked like this...

Trying to paint them to match the factory flares and body panels. Found a metallic can of Rustoleum in dark metal that is very close to my stock flares.

The finished fronts. I think they came out okay, despite what I did to them. The rears are still being worked on. It's a VERY slow process for me.

Thanks. I am looking forward to getting the rears installed. I think my "stock" look will be a thing of the past once they're on. Drilled out all the holes for the drivers side yesterday and will do the passenger side today. Then I just have to spray the white and then clear coat and put them on. Which means it will probably be the end of the month before they actually get installed. :dunno:

What kind of clearcoat are you using?

The clear is just Dupli-Color protective clear coat finish that you can get from any auto parts store. The white is factory code bright white that was mixed and put into a rattle can by my local autobody supply store. They also recommended the clear that I'm using.

If you go to Napa. They have crossfire in a single stage paint. That is color matched with clear coating in it

Figures. I went to all the local parts stores trying to get a white that matched with no luck. Of course Napa was the one store I didn't hit up. Oh well, too late now. But thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind for the next time.

So, here are the rear ones colored, but not yet installed. The driver's side just had the white sprayed this morning and still needs the clear sprayed.

The Passenger's side just needs the clear to dry the rest of the way and it's ready to install.

As soon as I get them installed, probably next weekend, I'll post a couple more pic's.

Those are nice! great job rob!

Thanks! Yeah, Josh at Hooligan is alright. I called to find out if they would be able to make me a set with the flare and a rub rail (towel rack :D). He told me they just got a new press brake so they could start making these, then had to pack up and move their entire shop to a new location due to lease issues. So, the whole process was a bit slow from order to receiving the parts to now trying to finish the whole thing off. These are the prototypes for the rub rail, so they had to make them, test fit them in their shop, then after all that ship them off to me. I knew all that going in so I didn't get too stressed about the long lead time. I must say, they do some pretty good work there at Hooligan.

Finally got the rears done. Turned out pretty good considering who did it (me).

Now it looks like I need either bigger tires or to drop it down a bit. Personally, I'd prefer to go with a set of 37's. If I had any money left I'd hop on those 37's Jon has off of Silverback. But, no such luck right now anyway.
Next weekend (9th thru 12th) I'll try to break them in up on Slickrock and DV.

Those really look nice. I wish they would cover the rear tail lights!
Other that that they are a sweet set, look better then my tj flares
