New shocks or wait for lift?

Hey yall I need some help. My shocks are shot and the bushings are cracking out of them. I've been trying to decide if i should buy new stock height shocks now or just wait for the lift I'm going to get soon. I'm looking a 3in lift. Right now I don't have the money for the lift so I'm just trying to figure it out. Should I wait on the lift or get the shocks now?

I'd get some cheapy shocks from an auto parts store just to get by on. Are you talking about the front or rear, and top or bottom? If it's the front tops then the local auto parts stores have new rubber bushings that can be put on to replace old ones.

Its mostly the bottoms all the way around. I'm pretty sure these are the ones that came on it in 91. After looking at the other stuff i've done to it i don't think any thing besides an occasional oil change was ever done to this jeep. I think ill go with the cheepos for now. ill put some pics of the bushings up so you can see what i mean. Also i lost halg of my right rear bumpstop yestarday. Ill get pics for that also.

Might want to look in the different classifieds and see what is available too. IIRC there are some cheap shocks out there. In the $30 - $40 each range.
