just my .02 but if you plan on lifting it chances are you will snap the upper shock mount bolts and the best way to get to them is by cutting the floor above them...so before you go replacing it all you may want to see if you can do anything about them... replace or something..jsut trying to save you some work in the long run

Thanks man that will save me some time. Figure before i go cutting i will spray them down and see if i can iven loosen them if i can get them out i will just replace the bolts till i get better shocks. But yeah man thanks. I would have hated cutting into my floor once i get it right.

Cut holes for the rear shackle bolts too. That way you can get at the weld nut and soak it good with some PB. Take the advice on the rear upper shock bolts. REAL easy when done from above.

The rust isn't too bad actually. My 93 was worse. What's the unibody frame look like?? Do your repairs from the top AND the bottom.

Glad to see someone got it that is going to fix it! i was going to drive down and look at it but i found a dana 44 for mine for $100. good luck, the floors look about like my wagoneer!

Yeah right now i got the floor cut out. Used some of the rust converter on it and painted everything black. Once i get the sheet metal riveted in i will just line the whole tub with that crud from walmart. Hope it works good though.

Mcnamagg's got that stuff in his jeep and it looks good so i think it will work as a good liner and keep the rust from coming back...

That is a nice looking wagoneer. Definitly makes me want to keep the wood paneling on mine. Just got so many dents and rust that i would have to replace all the paneling. The waggie is coming together nice got most of the floor riveted in place.

I have been considering it. My wife hates the woodgrain but i like it... Ya know how women are they want to pretty-N-pink everything. I just want to get it structurally sound and running good before i worry about cosmetics anyway.

nice find! i paid $700 for my woody in almost the exact same shape (from a friend). its an 89 wagoneer limited. i wouldnt trade this thing for the world.

Recent pics of my progress

I riveted some sheet metal in and rubberized the top and bottom.

Plan on putting some truck bed liner through out the inside now. Just need a few more rivets but my drill bits gave out. So i got to purchase some more

I now have the motor running again but i have a coolant leak somewhere

Should i use Radiator stop leak... is it good is it bad

I am almost done serviceing everything

I am not good enough to remove the whole axle but the covers cleaned up nice

I would find the leak. Stop leak will potentially gunk up the heater core and leave a nasty residue in everything else.

That is what i was thinking although Experts say if you flush it a few times it is fine to use. Has anyone had any problems or is it an unnecessary risk when a new radiator would be about 150 new or 25 at pull-a-part

Not sure about the pan issue. I think the boneyard might be the best place... Unless someone else knows how to get it out.

Well i changed my tranny filter the other day and i have been fighting with putting the damn dipstick back in the damn pan. Any one got any secrets:dunce:

Update:

Well i finally got the tranny problem fixed, I dont think I will ever change my tranny filter again, I think i will pay some one else too lol. Shortly after refilling the tranny I sprung a brake leak :bawl:

So I bought some more line and some compression eyes fittings and buttoned it up only for it to spring another leak about 2 ft behind the first. I should have inspected the line better i think i knicked it with the drill bit when i was putting my floor in cause there is a rivet right above it. So i inspected the rest of the line closely and found it to be good line. and changed the Fule filter...

Started Bleeding the brakes the rear bled perfectly but as soon as i got to the front i found that someone prior to my arrival must have tried to bleed the brakes with a 12 in crecent UGH. This is pic after i still couldnt get it off with vise grips and PB blaster. :bawl:

So I decided now is a good of time as ever to finish the last piece of floor since i was able to borrow some drill bits. I was also short on scrap metal lol. Oh yeah thanks andy for the pieces of your hood they are back on a JEEP.:cheers:

But on a good note the engine cranks everytime and it sounds good so far still havent road tested it.

And I got a Mirror arty:

and pull-a-part hooked me up with a 5 dollar Engine skid. party1:

That is all i got for now. I really hope to find time this weak to start with the bed liner. Would like to put a few more coats of undercoat underneat the truck. And dudeinaxj is hooking me up with some tires early next month. May actually be able to make the crawl.
