Well, I figured this out, took out the bolts from the bracket that held the cable and found a place to put a flathead and pry the adjuster open. Adjusted the cable and also found that the plastic piece inside the shifter in the cab had a broken tab. Fixed that. Went to bleed the brakes and found out that the axle on the front driver's side is sheared off where the u-joint joins to the wheel. Pics later, it was getting dark outside.
Guess I better start making me a list for when I head back to the Pull A Part down in Birmingham.
Also, as of now, the transmission starts out in what seems like 3rd gear. Have to pull it down in low gear to start out in 1st. My Passport did the same thing but straightened out after a few times manually shifting it. Hopefully it is just from sitting and needs to get fluid in all the right places in the tranny. Will figure that out later since I do not feel same driving it with a broken front axle.
