New Iowa Guy

eww. Puddles in the mall parking lot. Be carefull there, stuntman.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome guys. I too am a former border dweller so dont fell bad Tyler. Like i said I am new to the wheelin thing, is there any place to wheel besides the occational MIOBI runs? Does anyone know about JOCCI. I see they try to make it out once a month. Are there any other options?

Thanks, Matt

I am not aware of this "JOCCI" that you have mentioned. We also have a place called "The Farm" that is just about 10 miles outside of Kirksville, MO. It is open on the weekends and for special events/holidays. It is alright wheelin, it is $5 and has very limited rules...so it is fun, but dangerous when the kids are out there on quads and dirt bikes. We are thinking about going over there in a few weeks if your interested. Anyone is welcome to go as far as that goes...hit me w/ a PM if anyone has interest.
Later-
Tyler

The Jocci is the jeep outdoor club of central Iowa. (jocci.com) i think. They have some place they call the Farm near Oskaloosa Iowa they go to once a month. It sounds like it is private land held by several land owners that they have permission to wheel on but thats all I know.

Thanks, Matt

Yes JOCCI is a group of fairly cool guys. There is a guy that comes into where I work that has a brand new JK that he immediately lifted and threw M/Ts on, some of them are positively loaded! From what I've gathered, you have the right understanding of "The Farm", I guess there's also a place in DM that they wheel every once in a while but again, it's one of their member's property.

Welcome to the area.
There are not many options unless you belong to a club. 4x4 Syndicate, CI4WI, JOCCI and MIOBI are the only ones I know of with wheeling areas. If you are interested there is a JOCCI meeting tonight in Johnston. There are also links to pics of "The Farm" JOCCI wheels at here --> http://www.cybershanks.com/smf/index.php?topic=32.0

My club has a small wheeling area near Harlan IA. We do the Fall Crawl there every year! www.gt4w.net is the club site. A few of us are going wheeling there this sunday 23, Kinda super short notice but just thoght i would let you all know. I guess if any of you are bored and in the area i will allways go wheel. im just 10 min away from it!

Great idea Brian, I've heard he could just use that as a write off, MIOBI is a business venture right Andy?
