New guy from Ft. Worth

Hello everyone, My name is Nathan, and I just picked up a 1996 Cherokee sport. It's not my first Jeep, I had a 95 YJ back in the early 2000's.

It has a lot of miles, but it runs excellent, and the body and interior are great for a Jeep this age. I got what I thought was a good price, but while picking it up in the evening and suffering from a bout of the "New toy syndrome" I failed to look very closely at the underside. Lots and lots of rust.
Anyway, here is how it looks.

It does have new 2.5" exhaust, and a header. (Or did these come with tubular exhaust manifolds?)

They came with tubular exhaust manis from the factory.

Welcome aboard. I grew up in Palo Pinto about 60 miles west of Fort Worth. Still go back there all the time.

Sorry about the rust. That's not very common for a vehicle in North Central Texas, was this XJ from the Great White NOrth?

I was told it came from Missouri, But there's no telling where all it's been in it's life. The rust is mostly in the floorpans, The suspension points seem to be okay.
