New Guy Flexing Short Arms

Well I'm a new guy from the Midwest... Just wanted to post some pics to say hello.
The setup is in the signature... rest assured I realize the tire are too big for the lift BUT in my defense I have trimmed SO MUCH away from the fenders that the shocks are fully compressed before I rub. I only get rub on the rear tires and even then it is minimal.

Enjoy!

It warms my heart to see a new guy with a well built rig that isn't an 8 inch lift on short arms to fit 31s.

The least i can do... hehe Obviously there's work to be done to make it flex a bit better and get the most out of them

I'm no expert but I figure the most basic principal, with all things considered, is to maintain a good center of gravity without staying too low.

I need a bit more lift but I think I'll call this quits at 6.5 - 7 That seems like a good number without looking too tall and skinny

Looks good, I shoud have my rig ready to go in few weeks. Want to go to tuttle when I go?

If I could make it that far you bet! hahaha I am having a heck of a time getting my Jeep to drive sane even at low speeds.
Once I get a new Trackbar mount, trackbar, balance the wheels and my long arms finished (All late Spring) then I think it should be ok on the Highway

what kind of beadlocks are those? Homebrew? I like em

Yes, BUT I did not make them. The guy used rims off of a HMMV (Yeah not a 'Hummer' hahaha) plasma'd out the center and welded in the 5x4.5 centers. I'm not sure about the Bead Lock though... he definitely made it but not sure what parts. The inner edge of the lock is rigid like a puzzle, so they are home made for sure! hahaha

I plan on pulling them apart in a month or so and sand blasting them because the paint he used seems a bit cheap. Bubbling and pealing, little rust... so I'll clean up the inner edge and thenpowder cost them bright yellow! ;) Kidding... black it is, but glossy not flat

You just gave me some inspiration.
Nice setup!!!

This is all very Odd... I was concerned I would get flamed for 'trashing' my Jeep.

I understand that, that is why I have to trailer mine there. My tires don't like the highway at all. plus I am making it mostly a trail only rig.

But you problem could also be these if not centerted properly.

you may want to try another set of rims just to be sure.

I did and the Death Wobble was the same. It is clear that I am having Track bar issues. I made some major mistakes concerning my track bar and my only long term solution is to replace the TB mount and get a new adj track bar. Before I replaced the track bar I drove those tires at 75 MPH from Belton to the airport.

Plus when i get under the Jeep and someone steers the track bar still moves a decent amount to screw up the steering
