New Driver's Side Door Ajar Switch Not Working

The "old" switch didn't work either.

Purchased a new door ajar switch from Napa for the driver's side door. Doesn't work. Tried to spin it and re-connect. Dome light does not turn on when door is opened. Key buzzer doesn't work either.

Overhead dome light works via the door ajar switch on the passenger side and via the headlight switch.

Where should I look next?

If the wires are broken or shorted, it won't work. Next is a visual inspection of the wires, and a continuity test of the wires.
