its going to be my DD since my rig gets crappy MPG these days and its getting a full cage.

this one gets awesome MPG for a lifted XJ

im going to put in new doors, new side glass,
maybe fix the clutch eventually
and figure out why the check engine light is on
any know of a scanner that scanner a 92 XJ?

the willys is going in the shop for the tranny. im sick of working on it.

plans:
to make it DD real quick:
new doors with glass
rear pass side wondow
plugs, cap, rotors, air filter, o2 sensor, clean Throttle body, acetone in gas tank, clean ground, test all sensors, oil change, diff fluid change, grease everything
zj tie rod and ill do the OTK flip with my extra insert for better angles and clearance.
new drag link
shifts great for now, but might end up needing new clutch.

the rest:
maybe new steering box or sector shaft
weld up LCA skids
fix check engine light? dunno why
figure out why arb doesnt switch on
drop front down with my old re 5.5 coils and pull out rear 1.5" lift blocks

go from there but i think its done

Did apple work out?
 
yah the mpg ar pretty good. not 100% but seems like 18mpg on the 35s.
yah i start the new job at Apples financial forecasting department march 5th.
pretty stoked.

Did you figure out what kind of aftermarket ex. header it has?
 
no idea what header.
going to pnp tomorrow to look for 2 door doors anyone want to join?
 
update:
arb air compressor works , jumper power to it. but no power from the cab so ill get on that.

found out why the belt is screwed up. the harmonic balancer is shitty, so ill grab a new one.

good news, the maintence light is on, not the check engine, so its all good.
i grabbed an 02 sensor, plugs, cap, rotor and oil change crap tonight.
also noted it has a bored Throttle body to 62mm all the way through. which is nice.
drives great.
i plan on grabbing a zj tie rod tomorrow along with doors, a harmonic balancer, and windows,

ill drill out the driver side knuckle and ill weld in my last insert to go OTK with it.

john I plan on doing my 1ton setup soon. I will give you my zj tie rod I bought from you a while ago if you want it. maybe in a week or two. let me know

i have my ways of finding them.
i replaced the harmonic balancer (took a while),plugs, cap/rotor , air filter, dumped the solid fan for a fan clutch, power steering fluid, power steering adjusting setup screws and block(had to cut off old ones),
changed oil, and managed to put a hole in the radiator so im going to order a new radiator tomorrow from radiators.com

next is a new front end with new brakes, HD steering, HD lca mounts, 4.10s (new rig is 4.10s) and a posi (powerlok from a CJ in a XJ front end) for dirt cheap with only 20k miles.
 
nice solid rig. put on the new doors, clean up and fix the acc wiring and it will be dialed..... but how long until it becomes wheeler number two lol.....
 
nothing wrong with putting front chromos, a 4:1 and a belly pan on a DD just in case. with the arb rear and posi front and better steering it should be a formidable rig. its got some body roll due to like 7.5" of lift and a rear shock hoop with in boarded rs9000s.
i happen to have some brand new bilstien 5100s lying around for the front that were on a rig with 7" of lift so i think that will help.

im temped to cut some roof off from the front seats back the other one now when i start the cage on that guy.
