New Compass

When's your birthday? Maybe have her buy it as a gift.

I usually buzz all mine off every three weeks or so.

Holy carp! Happy birthday! Definitely take the jacket then.

(I spelled carp on purpose.)

Yes...today I'm the birthday boy. Looks like we might have a snow day from school tomorrow. I guess we're supposed to get 14+ inches of snow tonight.

From the couple of owners I know (one's a 2000 and the other's an '02 or '03, I believe), it's bulletproof. This jives with the '86 Brat I had waaaay back when - total rustbucket in the body, but healthy as an ox mechanically even at over 220,000 miles.

I've owned 5 Subes over the last ~12 years.

The above is truth. Bulletproof. The newer bodies (~1997+) seem to be much better for corrosion resistance.

Saw the Commander in the flesh for the first time today.

People have been griping that it is big - didn't seem taht big to me.

Noticed that http://www.rockkrawler.com/ has solid front axle kit for the KJ. If they do one for the XK I may visit that option in a few years.

If you're referring to the 7UP kit, it's garbage. It's only been installed on I believe a total of 3 KJ's that I know of and two of them had it pretty much collapse shortly after getting on a trail. The other one is a show Jeep and is only driven on and off trailers, no offroad use at all....probably seen it on the net, white KJ with Sirrius Sattelite Radio down the side.
