New APN manifold installed.

I remember some one saying that the banks manifold had a couple bolt that or near imposible to get tight..........did you have any probem with this?

Has any one installed one of these APN Header on a RENIX? The sight said 91 and newer!

What would be diff between the Renix head and the HO?

The bolts aren't bad to get to. I tried putting one on my '90 with the Renix intake...didn't even close to fit. If you use the early HO intake it will fit however.

i installed a banks which is very similar and i could only hand tighten one or two of the bolts under the manifold... i tried swivels, extensions, etc and could not get it torqued properly... i think it was my last header install it was a pain... oh 1999 xj I6

i think someone else said this when i was installing mine... you need a double jointed midget to get to those two bolts!

Racheting open ended wrenches worked amazingly for me. I got the bottom back three bolts stared with my fingers while laying underneath (135 lbs so i didnt need to jack up the jeep). from there i ball parked the torque to a similar torque specification from the top bolts...since they rachet you dont have to keep taking the wrench off and put it back on.

Dont you have to have a HO head in order to run the HO intake manifold?

lol, well ok then. Did you find that the renix motor ran any different when you eliminated the EGR?

Just to make sure i'm understanding you right, you just plugged the EGR bung in the intake manifold and then either used a stock or fabbed up a downpipe and that was it in order to run a HO header?

Thanks
Tom
