Picked this up yesterday:

Type 1 machined receiver
18" barrel with Belgan flash hider.
Brand new- never fired.

You picked it up yesterday and it's never been fired? What's wrong with you? I could understand if you had said I picked this up 5 minutes ago and it's never been fired. But you have had a full day. What's your excuse?

You buy that from a guy in PA, saw one get carried into the UPS store on tues, same case style...

Picked it up at a local gun shop- by pure luck it was on the rack.I intended to go get a 16" carbine model of the same gun because thats all they had for the past YEAR (I'm finding out DSAs are getting very hard to find) but it had an ugly tiger stripe camo Dura-coat job on it.I would have still bought it if they didn't have this 18" Para model but got real lucky as the Para model was what I really wanted- but could'nt find.

Spent so much on the gun I didn't have money left for ammo.:D

Funny looking Fishing Pole.

I see it has the Ronco folding handle, so it must be the Pocket Paratrooper :)

BTW: Kinda on topic. What do you need something like that for; Deer, Bear, Cessna(s)?

That should stop what ever goes bump in the night.

Nice varmint gun...

Better buy now...

Wo knows what the next round of elections will bring about in the area of "bans"

Personally...

I prefer the build from scratch angle...

That was another major factor in this purchase. If the tide turns and another weapons ban gets enacted It'll be grandfathered in.:D

Way to remind me I still live in the PRK :D Nice looking rifle; never shot one but looks fun.

Currently holding out for the CA-legal Beretta CX4 Storm to hit the shelves. Yeah, it'll be watered-down but short of moving to America it's the only way I'll be able to own one. Mind you, the idea of an FN P90 is about enough to make me move...

There's a big price differance between 7.62x39 and 7.62 NATO (.308).
7.62 NATO = alot of brass + alot of powder + alot of lead.
Nice big boom! You can find good deals on surplus ammo though. Stock up while you can. All the gun banners will drive up the price of ammo too.

Oh yeah, nice gun! I've been trying to talk my step-father out of his FN for two years now. It's also 7.62, fun to shoot and almost new.

Who brought up that Commie 39 crap? :D

I want to get another .308, but I don't know if I want a FN, H&K, or Gailil (sp).

I love shooting the FN, but it's like having to lug around a cinder block when you compare it to my AR-15.
If I would stop spending money on my jeep I could afford more guns. I'm trying to save some money for one of the new Sprinfield XD's.
