"New" 92 XJ

lol not really. The most PITA part of an SYE install is cutting and drilling and tapping that output shaft.

The other bolts are just your normal u joint strap bolts and like 3 or 4 on the housing.

Unless he did what it looks like and took the whole T-case shaft out and machined it ~the right way~ if so then yes that would be /ALMOST\ worth 150 bucks.

(May 29)

Got the rear doors done, just need to finish modifying the hinges and mount 'em.

Andddd I'm working on the front doors today(alot more work to do than the rear, I need to swap the key cylinders along with the windows on the passenger one, and remove 3 of 6 broken hinge bolts)

(June 11)
Aside from doing the main rear brakeline yesterday, I was a wreck, so I got some crap done today after helping a friend install a BB on his new ZJ.

100_1188.jpg

Got one of the floor panels welded up and sealed. I'll herculine it probably tomorrow or something.

100_1187.jpg

I cut off the rusty rockers on both sides and painted the underlying metal with rustoleum. I'm going to find someone to weld in some 3x6 box tubing it it's place. It'll stiffen things up some and definitely give me some protection, a hilift point, and added ground clearance over traditional sliders.

anddddddd I got all the doors off.:woot:
100_1189.jpg

Also, I began making my patch panels for the rear quarters, just haven't gotten far fast bending 16ga sheet metal with a hammer between two cinder blocks.

When trying to disconnect the rear brake lines on the axle, I broke them on both sides so I'll be replacing those probably tomorrow. and hopefully driving it to work tomorrow night if all goes well(Which it probably won't)

here's my list of things to get done by the end of the month.
1. TNT Frame Stiffners installed
2. Rock Krawler 3-link installed w/ RE 5.5" coils
3. Rear driveshaft lengthened
4. 4.5" RE leafs with 1.5" shackle(might use it, depends on how much lift the leafs give me alone.)
5. Shimmmmmzzzzzzzz
6. Weld up the new sections of floor panel
7. Weld up the rear quarters.
8. Paint/install new doors and finish painting the whole Jeep
9. Install the hood louvers, lower door armor and quarter panel armor
10. Install the front/rear bumper and tire carrier
11. still need new shocks for the front and longer brakelines

Did jcr's one ton come the the adj trac bar, drop brackit or pitman arm?

no, I'm running the JKS adjustable trac bar in both stock locations with the stock pitman arm, and my steering angles are darn near perfect. I'm going to be lifting it 3 more inches though, so we'll see what happens then.

100_1192.jpg

Got the hood vents installed and painted the hood. Didn't get the chance to get the bumper on due to interruptions and having to go buy more self-tappers.

100_1197.jpg

Got the front bumper on with 1/2" and 5/8" grade 8 hardware along with new tow hooks.

100_1198.jpg

painted and clearcoated my d-rings despite the face the paint will scratch off the first trip out.

100_1199.jpg

and an overall shot, man I love driving without doors

oh, and I've discovered my powertrax no-slip is not unlocking.:(

That is badass man. What are you using to paint the body elements?

My frame stiffeners came in this afternoon, I'll be getting those welded on along with the long arm mounts soon. I've got t minus 7 days to get my list done, and I just might be able to.

I haven't had alot of time to work on it lately, but I got some done Tuesday and Today.

Got my cowl and A-pillars painted:

What type of hood vents? I like them.

They were CAD designed and custom cut by the previous owner of my last XJ, thanks.

anyways, here's an update from what I've been able to do over the last couple days(other than yesterday, since I was forced to go to the mounds.)

Now everything's painted except for the drivers side quarter panel, the hatch, and the roof.
100_1294.jpg

100_1293.jpg

Got the driver side front herculined and my 97+ center console and TJ t-case shifter lever installed.
100_1291.jpg

anddddddd painted the rear floor, installed the rear seat, and cut up my buddy's JK carpet to fit in the back(the floor's not dry though, so it's not in/pictured.)
100_1292.jpg

Hopefully tomorrow, I'll have my TNT frame stiffners installed along with the long arm mounts. Long arms will be installed Tuesday or Wednesday along with the rear doors. Then I only have a few things to finish up before I leave Friday or Saturday for a week of wheeling.
