Needed: someone who can weld aluminum....

Found these bitchin' ultra-light Centerline racing wheels and discovered a small crack on ihe inner bead lip of one wheel after dismounting the tires that were on them.

Know anyone who can Tig weld aluminum?

Someone had put a little epoxy over the crack. It held air..... :dunno: Didn't notice it until after the tire was off. I pulled off the epoxy to photo the crack.

try any local wheel repair places in town. also see if centerline can give you any love with it. call them. is the wheel the kind with a riveted on center?

Take this one to the pros. If they won't weld it, there is a good reason why...

I'll swing by there. I also have what was a brand new trailer wheel that I snagged on a curb and folded the outter lip a couple months back. Stupid 15x6 5 on 5 lug pattern that apparently no one makes anymore. I had to find that one on e-bay back when my trailer spit that wheel assembly coming home from Nebraska after that MJ parts fest...... can't find 'em anywhere now.
