Need to borrow a computer for a 89 comanche/cherokee

I just bought a 89 comanche off of craigslist and it has no computer.
The PO said that the enginge ran great but he lent the computer to a friend to trouble shoot another jeep and lost the computer before he had a chance to reinstall it.
I want to make sure this thing runs before I invest to much more money into it.
I also bought a wrecked 92 cherokee for the motor/transmission/t-case and axles to swap into the comanche if the motor in the MJ is trash.
Is there anyone willing to help me out?

where is Pearland? We have a Budget Pick and Pull here outside of Belton towards Killeen (Ft. Hood) that has about 10 Renix xjs and probably just as many HOs. I dont know how they are but I can bet it wont be more than $30 or so. $1 a day warranties.

Last time I priced them around Houston the ran for about 50 bucks.
I don't want to spend any more money on this thing than I need to.

I have a running 92 4.0 and trannie that will go in if the motor wont run.

I dropped by rodgersjeep home yesterday evening. The compuer I had (spare Renix) and his engine worked fine. Made a scarry noise that he says is the manual tranny clutch, bearing system according to the prior owner.

We are getting together again this weekend to do some more Jeep parts swaping.

So 2 of us have finally crossed paths in the Pasadena (south east Houston), Pearland part of the RR chapter.
Oh, by the way, this guy has too many jeeps too!
