I'm finishing up a 5'x10' trailer and need to add a removable drop gate/loading ramp. I've got an idea of one way to do it, but there's probably a better way than what I'm thinking. What I was thinking of doing was using something like 5/8" steel round stock for pins on the gate and heavy wall tubing on the trailer.
Also, I'm figuring on making the gate/ramp frame out of 1" square tube and raised expanded metal. I think the 1" tube should support a 500lb atv without a problem, but since I haven't used it much I'm really not sure.
Before anyone asks, I want the gate/ramp removable because it's a real pain to unload stuff like gravel with one attached.
