Need some Help

First off I am sorry if this is not the right place to post these questions, not sure where to post them.

First off I am selling my 94XJ, not that I am happy about it but its whats best for the family right now. What I am not sure of is what kind of price I should ask where is the best place to advertise. Also would I be better off to strip all the parts off of it and sell them separate? and if so where would you advertise those parts or would you sell it all as is?. This stinks but it is what it is and my old buddy must go. Here is what I have and your advise on how to make as much money off of the sale would help us out greatly.

1994 XJ 4.0L 195K
3" lift
Warn transformer winch bumper & xd 9000i winch
Gas can & tire rack
Rock bars
Garvin roof rack
Hella lights
H-4 headlight upgrade
New BFG AT ko tires
Xtra set of factory wheels & worn BFG tires

Keep in mind that trying to part it out could be a lengthy process, and parts you've sold already might keep other potential buyers away from the remainder. Granted, you can probably get more for it by parting out, but balance that with the fact that it may be a long-term project. Selling it outright might be faster, depending on your needs.

I wouldn't part it tell that is the last option.

The Jeep is worth X-amount, the Upgades are worth X-amount (used), from there you need to factor Timming (which is everything, jeeps in this area go for mad/stupid prices as the EJS gets closer) and what you have seen other jeeps with simular options going for.

Look at the Jeep that I have for sale - The XJ is old so it isn't worth much - but the Axles, Engine and Mods are worth a lot if you were to do it all piece by piece. I was originally going to ask around 2.5K more for it - but the timming right now is forcing me to drop the price to what it is now. Jeeps in this area are not selling like they will in 3 to 4 months from now - this is why I am not budging from the price.

According to NADA your jeep is only worth $2650 - but with the bumper/lift/AT/Etc you can start adding more - Does it have the 44 rear? That would increase the asking price a little.

You see what I am getting at?

Thanks for all the help. Would $4000 be to much to ask in your honest opinion with every thing? I feel its in pretty good shape. Here is a picture and the rear is a Chry 8.25.

IMO, yes. I sold my Clean '94 Country, with 150k, 31s, RE 3.5", and armor for $3,000 firm, back in 2005. And people weren't running to look at it set at that price. I can't see a picture of yours here at work. I'll take a look when I get home, and throw up a pic of mine as well.

That's a beautiful rig brutha. It's a shame you need to sell it.

I'm in the same boat. I've got a really clean '96 - black as well - set up similarly, but no winch. Mine has only 130K miles on it and new paint. I've had no calls from my ad at $5200...... but I priced it high to start and figured I could negotiate within $1K. Plus...... I don't have to sell it. It's serving as my daily driver right now, but I'd sell it for the right price - ya dig?

The economy being as it is..... folks just aren't spending what they don't have to.

Both of our jeeps would appeal to a wider market if some of the higher priced mods were removed. For instance, you could lower your asking price more realistically if you removed the winch/pushbar, rack, etc and sold just the clean basic rig with the lift and tires. I think it'd sell for $3000 fairly quickly. Then you could sell the winch and parts separately.

That's my $.02 anyway.

Wait 'til we get our first snow...the newbies in The Ranch are going to call on that ad...
