Need some help with my XJ

Someone refereed me to this thread for some help. I hope it helps!

I currently live in Southern California (San Bernardino County area). I am out here for an exchange program for college and I need some help replacing my old leaf springs with new ones. I thought I could wait until I got back home (Chicago, IL) to replace my leafs but they need to be replaced soon! So if there are any super cool Jeep owners out there that will help me with this I would greatly appreciate it!

Also, since I live on campus I have no access to a garage or some tools

Another thing, I'm kind of a new owner of this Jeep so I am not too technically sabby yet. That's another reason why I could use some help....
 
if u wanna pay for the entry to pick a part to get some used springs we can get them off a junker and on urs if u can get ur jeep to mira loma for the work...
or if u can score some i'll help u put them in at papercuts place if he's cool with that
 
im down to help but im in anaheim so i think your kinda far but let me know where you end up workin on it and if its close enough ill come by

and if i see any leafs for free or at a good price ill let you know
 
Be specific as to where you are. It helps if people know exactly where you are (if I told someone I lived in the San Diego County area, it wouldn't give them much of an idea where I live....)
You will find plenty of help here.
Heck, if you want to drag it out to Borrego Springs this weekend, I'm planning on being in the garage the whole time.
 
If he goes to cal state he's in the city of san bernardino about 5-10 mins away.

Let me know when you get your leafs. Then we can set up a weekend to swap em out.
 
Start spraying all the hardware with PB Blaster now......

Also, if you are replacing your leafs with stock ones, look in the KARMA thread, might be able to get some for free..... I know I gave away a set that only had about 78k on them.

Im in San Bernardino too just about 10 minutes from CSUSB. Let me know if you guys need a hand and Ill come by if Im not working

I started spraying everything yesterday with PB. I even bought another can, so it's all good.

yup, that time of season... we have been dry for a while so this rain isnt much... cant complain about calis weather though! by far the best weather i've lived in... i couldnt stand Chicagos humidity... ugh... :wave:
