just picked up a 03 liberty 2wd 3.7. Anyone have any ideas on what trans is in this. was told it could be a 42rle or a 454rfe any help is appreciated.

42rle. 454rfe is in the V8 grands.

It should be 42RLE for the early KJ. The 45RFE was a few years later. 545RFE I think was diesel only

I think 03 could have either 42RLE or 45RFE .
