Need help: Baja Fenders for XJ

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, so hopefully this post hasn't been done already. I'm looking into replacing my former Rusty's cut out fenders, for baja fenders to achieve additional wheel clearance. I'm trying to go for the jeepspeed look in my XJ, but as it's also my daily driver. SO, the question is what it the most durable baja fender out there, and what would look best on my current 32" tires? A 6" fender is too much, so I'm looking into a 4" flare. Any help would be much appreciated, and pictures would definitely help of anyone that has a similar build. Thanks in advance to anyone out there. :compwork:

PLEASE dont call them baja fenders, theyre made out of fiberglass, not the baja peninsula.

fiberglass is a thing of taste, go checkout differant xj prerunners and see what you like personally.

i run 6" flattops, they leave something to be desired, but i like em. i wish i had pics of the ones my buddy put on his mj, i really like those kind, they raise up above the hood, they look really nice...

I run the 6" flat top Hanneman fenders as well, some like the glassworks fenders more because they are more rounded. It's all a matter of what you like.

here's mine:

i forgot to say, welcome to the board!
what kinda wheel's you running? 6" goes fast. i run soft-8's with 4.5" BS, the fenders may stick out a tiny bit more, but they look good, and keep the mud off the windshield.

XCM, thanks for the pics. I'm running 32" BFG's right now, i know everyone's running like 35's. So that's the problem i have is finding some fiberglass fenders that won't stick out way past the tires. What size tires are you running?
Ryan93, Those are actually the one's I'm looking into buying. Let me know if you come across any pics.

First of all, major props for being red on your first post. Thanks a bunch for supporting our club. With that being said, I was in the same boat, while I run 33's I run a 10.50 on a minimal offset wheel (0mm on a 7" wide wheel or 3.5" backspace). I'm also not a fan of the flat tops, even though that's what I'm going to end up with due to the width the XJ will be after the build.

I have a set of 4.5" glassworks on the XJ right now, and a set of 2.5" trailer products on the MJ. Both look good in their own respect. Pics of both:

So what brand you guys say these are? I acquired them used for my build for extra tire coverage.

Obviously they're not the "flat top" ones you guys are talking about?

And yeah, they fit like hell. They'll fit nice once i'm done with them.

hard to tell cause the white is so bright in the pic, but if they are a smooth bulge that looks like a pulled fender they are most likely glassworks like Jim posted on his XJ. he wasn't happy with the fit at first either so he took the XJ and the fenders to glassworks and had THEM mount them.

Unfortunately Fiberglass fenders aren't known for fitting well!

i had a 1.625" gap at the a pillar on my hannemans on the passenger side. didn't bother me much, i don't go over to that side unless something over there breaks lol. of course after my last XJ whoopin session the gap is about .5"... i think i bent my everything :gee:
