I'm trying to compile a bunch gps maps (tracks) etc... too update my GPS.

I'm looking for tracks/maps of:

IN:

Interlake
Badlands
Redbird

TN:

Any and all.

MO:

I have a good one of Wachita.
Need some of the others.

IL:

Cliffs

Or any location that could be interesting.

My mapsource can read

*.gpx
*.gdb
*.mps
*.loc

Please post up and let me know. I have a good one of Turkey Bay.

I once spent a lot of time maping the Badlands. Though it was fun, it was a waste of time. They give you a general map at the office and because of the trail density, that's pretty much all you need. Besides, they moved parts of Green and Orange, so old maps won't do you much.

The Cliffs gives a much better map, and IIRC, theirs is on their website. Same basic deal. High trail density, you really can't get lost.

If you really want those maps, I recomend you get a GPS with external antenna, laptop, and some decent maping software. Hop in your rig, drive the trails, and spend time editing the raw data. It will be an eye opener, and fun :D

Would love too, but my current work schedule does not allow me to just take off and drive the trails...

Yes, I want an external antenna and some software. (Overland Navigator) That's probably what I will end up using...

I'm wanting these so, when and IF I get to go somewhere new, I'll already have a general idea where I am.

I use my delorme pn-40 to record tracks, which i then upload to delorme topo. Both are very technical products for the person who does mapping, and do what I need them to.
