Need a press...

Anyone in/near the South Bay have a shop press I can use for about 10 minutes to-morrow (03/30)? I've got to press a bearing onto a D35 shaft, and I don't have the means to hand to develop enough force to push the thing on...

I've already got the old bearing and collar knocked off and the parts cleaned, so just a press job is all I need... I'd like to get this done to-morrow so my wife can drive herself to work (instead of driving to Palo Alto twice a day...)

I'll be watching for a reply! Thanks, if anyone can help.

I once used a bottle jack and a shaft length piece of pipe under a bumper to press a bearing on. It was a trail fix, but it held indefinately.

If you get in a pinch, it's worth a shot. And of course, you're always welcome at URF to use our 20 ton press.
