My MJ is currently at the shop for inspection and all it needs to pass is a working factory horn.

Anyone have one I can buy?

Local would be great, but I'll pay to have it shipped if you can mail it fairly soon.

Why does it have to be factory. Autozone & O'Riley's have generic replacements for cheap.

The shop doing the inspection said it had to be factory replacement ....

Based on your comments, I called them ..... a horn from AutoZone or PepBoys would work just fine.

Thanks for the help!!!

Jordan, I am 90% sure I have one sitting at my parents place. I could ship it out to you this Saturday if that is not too late.

just get a horn for a bicycle. you know the ones you have to squeeze. or better yet a bell. I can totally see coming down the trail in your MJ ringing a bike bell.

you have OBA right? Sounds like you need an air horn with a solenoid valve.

Seen those videos pretty funny. I was just messing with my CJ-7 yesterday to see where to mount my Hadley compressor and tank. And trying to figure out where to mount what horns. Got some dual Hadleys, a single Grover, some old military duals, and a triple setup that I am guessing is from a boat. I think the grover will go in the XJ with a ARB compressor.(XJ's in Ohio few a few weeks with the GF). not much room under the hood of an XJ for it. Found room when I installed my K&N FIPK. There just isn't any room on either for the triple(loud, low, and powerful sounding). Others are more ear piercing though. Can't weight to install them. iId love to install the manual valve but I can't do it without looking stupid inside and I'm NOT mounting an airhorn to the roof. There's an idiot(IMHO) nearby with a white wrangler with a triple horn setup where a normal person would mount a winch. Looks way stupid.:dunce:

Mounting an airhorn valve in the sunglasses compartment of my OHC with the chain dangling down was the best thing I ever did. I ran the hose (1/4 poly) under the headliner with an electricians cable snake to the trunk.
