Definately put it on eBay. My Dad's cousin does old tractor restoration in Auburn, CA and has been offered an astronomical amount on a few, one to be shipped over seas. Someone who knows exactly what they are looking at, or for, might find it useful, or valuble.

I think the set up looks like some sort of worm drive creation but what ever it is it's the first time I've ever seen anything like it. If infact it is a worm drive, I would have to agree with the idea that it may be for a unimog. A worm drive would give, extreme durability, power and reliability but usally results in slow speeds.

seems like your a week late....and wrong. It has been figured out, and its not a unimog.
