Nac 2024 Election Nomination Thread !

Hey all! Let's get the nomination process going here!
The nominations are for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Event/Social Media coordinator.
Per our regular process, any nomination should be seconded by someone else to be considered official. I would like to hold the election on or about mid-to-late November.
We have heard some interest in a couple positions, but nothing (yet) regarding President and VP. I would like to stress that without those positions filled, it could mean the end of the NAC as a viable chapter.
Please consider volunteering to keep this thing going!

Hey there it’s Sonny. I would be interested in the position of Event/ Social media coordinator. As I have been absent this year due to personal/ career reasons. God willing and the creek don’t rise I’m here for the long haul. Truck and trailer are fighting me but I will do what I need to to get to Rock!! Would love a chance to work with others to work together to build our social media presence and get some other things rolling in between our two big events during the year. Consider possibly a second and a vote or too

I would strongly think on Pres or VP if I could work with someone to see what it takes and what is envolved of it means helping keep the chapter alive. Whose with me?!?!?
 
I would of course, stay in the loop to help advise and be a point of contact, I am local to the parks, after all.
One point I'd like to make, and make clear, is my desire to have a discussion with everyone involved about what things look like going forward. By that, I mean that nacfest doesn't have to shirts, and raffle, etc. It is and always was about getting people together for a good time. My fear is that people are scared off by thinking people will always expect the same experience. Our get togethers are based on the people, and given how it's not gotten any easier to get people into a paid club kinda thing when social media is free and so easy, how to stay relevant.
I'll lay down more on this later, but thank you Sonny for everything. Things will keep going somehow, even if it's different.

Let's start with President, VP, and Treasurer.
The event coordinator/media is not necessarily needed if the big 3 keep the conversations going, but can be added once the top 3 are filled. Please I encourage you to chat amongst yourselves and step in. You get a turn key operation with plenty of support. Make this the club operation YOU want.

I'll use this as a reminder: we need at least 3 positions to fill:
1. President
2. VP
3. Treasurer
That's the bare minimum to keep things functioning. We could also add events/social media coordinator to help out, and even additional "directors at large" to have voting rights as to how things go in general, which of course would be asked to help handle some errands and whatnot for events if possible.

I'm not going to sugar coat this.
If the nominations are not filled on November 16th, I will have no alternative but to contact national announcing that the NAC will have to be dissolved/or be rolled into another new region to be decided by them.
This will mean that all chapter monies will likely be remanded to the National. It will also mean that without a leadership team, NacFest and rocktoberfest will be no more.
It would mean that a perfectly good thing was left to dissolve. There is still available support from National to continue as we have, but without volunteering that cannot happen.
 
I’ve said over and over now that I would step up with Victor. I would gladly step in a VP under him. He spoke about knowing someone with interest in treasurer with me as well. So idk what or where or what I need to to to solidify that but hear at least to say once more that I would like to step up.

As president, of course I could make the nominations official, and have no problem doing so, but tbh I'd like to hear from any members willing to do so instead, I believe it's the fairest way to do so.
This matters to me, and if what I have been saying sounded off, it wasn't meant that way.
Every potential nominee should be nominated by someone else. And seconded by another different person. Understand that I've stayed away from that part, as current president I should stay as impartial as possible.

Well, it's the 15th and I'm not seeing indications of Victor's contact that might be interested in the Treasurer position.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for Treasurer.
