Mystery Plug ?

I found this plug next to the battery laying on the fender anyone have any idea what is for?

Could be to the flux capacitor, but that is just a guess. Not all models have that.

I thought the cruise control was by the vacuum T.

i took my flux capacitor out.....kept on time warping everywhere, all i wanna do is get to work!

serious note: depending on how your xj is optioned you will have the odd mystery plug. mine is a base model, so i have about 20 different mystery plugs

yeah as said above i think i saw a thread asking about that same plug. i dont know what youd type in the search though trying to find it..
may be an ambient temp sensor plug for models with overhead console

Looked at my 98 which has factory cruise control and that is the connector that connects to the cruise control servo....

I have cruise control ordered . the plug for it is sitting on the fender right? this one is almost under the battery.

How many pins does that connector have? Can't quite see - guessing 4 or 8.

If you can give me a pin count and a few of the wire color codes, I can probably look it up in my FSM.

Definitely the vehicle speed control servo (cruise control.)

If it is the cruise control servo what is the one next to the vacuum T where my cruise control instructions says is the cruise control servo
