got my XJ in may '05 with 96k on the clock in pretty much mint condition

the first thing i got were some rims

then i removed the grey side molding and painted the flares and end caps satin black

it stayed this way for a long time minus small things not really worth mentioning. just little personal touches

after the lame goodyear radials i got a good deal on some new BFG A/T's on craigslist

IMG_0012-2.jpg

after some wheeling i shouldnt do in a stock rig with slightly larger tires

so since i wheeled and wanted to be able to carry a load and people and what not, i got an RE 4.5" lift with all the goodies

got it all installed

drove it this way for a while. then my awesome D35 started giving up the ghost so i found a C8.25 for a good deal from a local member. and at the same time i put in my RE hack 'n tap SYE

How did you end up running the cable out to the antenna?

yeah my next wheels will either be those or the AR-23's when i move up in tire size.

i ran it behind the plastic to the cargo area and just out the hatch. it doesnt smash it since the seal is soft.

and thanks for the compliments guys

so i noticed my tires wearing funny and noticed my TRE's were shot. so instead of going with stock XJ steering, i sprung for the V8 ZJ steering, and while i was at it i ordered the goferit tie rod flip insert

and here it is all installed

and the tie rod filp

IMG_0018-1.jpg

(notice the sway bar bracket is gone. the tie rod flip makes the tie rod interfere with the sway bar bracket so it needs to be removed and new brackets need to be made or ordered from JKS)

its amazing how much better it drives with tight steering. next thing is probably the steering box, it leaks and has a lot of slop in it. a have a few small plans for summer but its looking like i wont be able to do the big upgrades i was hoping for. UCSD wont be cheap. so most of my next mods for a while will be little things.

been a while since i updated this. but i have become a red member again. so heres the latest

picked up some 33x10.50 KM2's and american racing outlaw II's that i painted black

also did some other little things such as using 1/2" bolts in my UCA at the axle, scoring some waggy tail lights, threw a different grille on there

looks good! I love my KM2's

Same here, they seem to grab in every condition except being parked on a hill after 2 weeks of rain! That was a mess!

yeah i love them too. rarely have i got any wheel spin. only time was in wet rocks for a little. other than that i have zero complaints. they are also wearing very well
