So the red 96 sport I bought for $160 w/ a "blown engine" and paid $110 to get it towed. It has 128K on chasis and I swapped in my good 72K 4.0 from the 96 that I built the 4.6 for. It just needs a cat-back to pass inspection and it's already sold to a buddy for $1500 plus costs:

I bought the 95 Country for $200 on Wedsnesday w/201K possible starter/seized engine. Rented a uhaul dolly for $42 and towed it w/ my stroked 96 2wd(no probs). Starter tested fine, cps ohmed out good, so the no start was. . .neutral saftey switch(ran a ground direct to starter relay). Drove it around the block and all is good. It will need tune-up, fluids, brakes, and maybe tires:

Damnit, I've been searching throughout the whole state and even areas close to this one and nobody's got a xj in even half decent condition for less than a grand. Rant off, definately a couple of good scores it's always fun when someone doesn't know anything about an xj and sells it cheap because of some simple problem.

Nice finds. I hate you! ;) I fixed your images. Can you put them one to a line so they dont make a super WIDE post? ;) GL!

Thanks--I'm still a newbie to posting pics online. Red one is sold and green one will be sold early next week. Next project is fixing a co-workers ZJ with leaky 42re. I'll be doing a big West Coast bike trip the last two weeks in May, but when I come back, it'll be time to find some more. It definitely feels good to save Jeeps from getting scrapped(both were a day or two away) and make some money using the knowledge I've gained from wrenching on my own for the past 15 years and what I've learned here.
