Shoot me a location and I'll pull the topo up on the gps.
I've got no cordinates, closeest I can give you is the bordering streets

250 on the west
511 on the east
Twp rd 1104 on the north
westlake Dr on the south.

44805 for the zip.
if you go to google maps, look straight north from ashland, and it's in the V created by 250 and 511, just north of the bypass.

edit:
http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=40.88919&lon=-82.3187&symshow=n&datum=nad27&layer=DRG

somewhere in there, kinda.

just talked with the city engineer.

doesn't know when the next public meeting is.
Basically gave me a bunch of BS about it, and that they were going to turn it into park with picnic tables.

I asked him if that was the plan for all 200 acres of it?
He said to send him something in writing.

so, it looks as though he doesn't care one way or the other, we'll see if the council can be persuaded.
anyway. that's where I'm at.
I shall be appearing at the next council meeting.

Im all for this,

But 87manche, can you just sneak (walk) on to the land and take some Pics?
Every picture is worth a 1000 words so...........
Just to give us a better idea what we are talking about here.

WTF?

That's just what you want! Get them pissed at you and possibly get a trespassing charge. Awesome!
Yeah, that'll do the trick!

Calm Down.......

I was just asking (if he was able to), not like i was telling him he should.
Or put his jeep in 4hi and gas it over the fence.

Even road side pictures could work.

If he cant...he cant...thats fine.......

I was just thinking that there are 200 acres of it.......and no one would even know he was there.

Sheeeesh.....

The terrain doesnt really matter, enough Jeepers have access to land moving equipment to take care of that problem. Obstacles that start out man-made will alter over time through natural processes like erosion & plant growth.

I dont see how you could guarantee volunteers to staff the park or how to enforce the membership or daily payments needed for access, I would think it'd have to be open to the public for it to be realistic.

Post this up on the www.terrainstompers.com board & maybe some of us can offer help too.

Ohio has a severe lack of wheelin spots, so the more the merrier!

when is the next council meeting?

I learned that the council meeting isn't where I need to be, as it's gone to a planning commitee.
Still waiting on details when the next planning meeting is.
