It was the tree pic. Thanks for deleting it.

Also, it is much better to just post your info and pics rather than link to another site.

Welcome. I remember you from the Hollister run.

It looks like you may have lost your shim on the right side leaf spring. May want to check on that.

Looking at the 9th picture down btw.

Wow nice catch, that will definitely need to be addressed

I also found this little doosy

What do you guys think would be the best option for straightening this? Heat? Force? A new one?

ouch! heat is not the way to go, just get a new main leaf.

and pick up that Poo!!!

Would a stock main leaf work? Or do I need a rustys main to replace it?
Is there a place that I can get a longer main leaf to better adjust the shackle angle?

Its gotta be fixable just wait until someone looks past the poo or maybe post new pictures without the poo

not even sure you can get a main leaf from Crusty's. if you have there junk then you will need there junk still, a stock main leaf will not work. im not totaly sure but i don't think its fixable really, you could try to put the main leaf in a vise where the bent part ends and try to bend it back, not likely going to work though. its worth a try though i mean it can't hurt.

why cant he use a stock main leaf?
i mean it wont give as much lift, but at that point he could add maybe one to two extra stock leafs to make that up...
itd be cheap and easy...
i have some stock leaves i used as add aleafs in my rustys packs....

That would work.. do it on both sides while your at it so your not leaning =]

Also looks like you don't have a steering stabilizer...but that was probably by choice. :)

I finally got my tax return ($400) and it want to do some upgrading.

I want to go OTK steering and I was think I may have figured out a way to do it.
I am going to drill out the knuckles and pitman and make a tab on the tie rod, use 3/4 heims http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com....html?osCsid=9dc081953bf6e9e80e0b0388e79acf19 at all these spots;
use some DOM (I am not sure what would fit or be best for this) for the drag link and tie rod set up.
Also since I am at 5" lift I think that its time to go with a double sheer Track Bar and I was thinking http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IROR&Product_Code=IR-STBCK&Category_Code=PFX.
A rough picture of what it would look like. I would put the new tracbar on first and do the measurements and welding after.

I will just cut off the sway bar links as I dont ever use the sway bar anyways

Please give advise and suggestions

Ok, so some recent updates.
Replaced my old muddy/cruddy, previous owner used some JB to fix a few wholes, with a new CFS 3 core.

Did an oil change to find out that Midas stripped my old drain plug and put a new bigger one in. Also that they may have messed up the threads on the oil filter adapater thing because there was oil every where underneath of it and I HAD to use filter wrench to get it on.

Put a new passenger side knuckle on becuase the old one had a stripped brake caliper bolt hole.

I also got my new steering parts in. This is the kit I bought http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...rs_p_1335.html. I haven't pu it on yet and I need some advise.
My steering now

What is the best way to make sure that I have the lenghts set up right so that I have a proper alignment? I do not have an alignment so I don't trust my lengths.

Help and Thanks

When you drive straight on a flat road is your stearing wheel straight up and down? If yes your drag link is a good lenth.

If you messure the tires half way up the tread across in the front and across in the back is it toe'ed in 1/8 of an inch or less? (1/8 inch or less shorter in the front) If yes your tie rod is a good lenth.

Sounds kind of redneck but it works.
