Well today I finished up my dual optima battery project. As of now, batteries are run in parallel until I get a good battery management system. The driver side battery is mounted with the same battery tray and hold downs as the passanger side. Let me know what you think...

How rusted up is your fairlead? I would sand that down and paint it if the rust is rough so you don't scratch up the rope.

Imagine that everyone else is looking at the intake and dual batts and you notice the winch. HAHA Oh yeah,I was wondering about the intake also.

Haha I just notice what can create a problem for a rope. Also looking at that closer do you have a black nylon guard on the drum like what is on your last wrap of the rope? That is not meant to be used as a chafe or rock guard, it is used for a heat guard to protect the rope from melting. So unless you have two of them move that one to the first wrap of the drum.

I dunno dude, looks like a rock guard to me. Maybe it's a Viking line to begin with?

Since I can't see any writing on it at all I would guess he has a generic amsteel blue line, even if it was labeled as a chafe guard those nylon line protectors don't hold up very well to abuse. They are placed on the line to be used on the first wrap of the drum to shield the rope from the heat produced by winching out.

Like the black portion on this line:
