thanks man.

they're $50 a day to rent down here so I think it's cheaper to rent than drive up and back.
the machinist said he pays a shop 100 bucks to pull engines for him, iff they'll pull and reinstall for $200 I'll freaking jump on it. I'm lazy.
Especially after just putting the little lift on.

Well I yanked my motor out and found that the #6 cyl. rod was in 3 pieces! I broke off twords the middle and kept spinning and broke the rest off when it came around again. Not exactly sure why this happened... the only thing that comes to mind is the guy that owned the jeep before me.... he want a real thinker!

Wow, that's the first time i've ever heard about that happening....

What a bummer, over revved the engine a few times maybe... Or some faulty casting on the rod.

Yea, my jeep has had an extremely rough life. The previous owner really trashed it! It was probably the worst condition 98 I have ever seen when I first got it!

Thanks for the offer Sting25 but I think that I should be good (hopefully). My friend ExNews4XJ is going to help me out since this is my first motor swap, but I am getting pretty good at swapping shit!

LOL it sounds like it! Have fun :)

Well not that it is going to help me with my motor but I got a 44 w/ superwinch hubs and 9" out of a 79 f150 for $275 so sometime semi soon I will be swapping my axles again!

Hey Sting25 I sold you some interior panels a while back, I still have the center console becasue the guy never showed to get it.... U still want/need it?

sweet..Check out TNT's 44 truss kit price isnt so bad and looks like it makes the swap pretty easy.

:)

What would you like pics of? lol it pretty much just looks like a stock motor, with the exception that I put a 99+ intake manifold bored to 63mm, 63mm TB spacer 1" thick, and stock TB that is bored to 63mm

Sorry for the lack of pics Frank Z..... Ive just been really lazy and busy with work and college. Ill probably have some in the next day or so, but Its time to start prepping the 44 and 9". I picked up some basically new richmond 4.88's for $90 and a spool for $50 at a swap meet last weekend! Ill definately get some pics of the axle install! Gears and locker for the 44 wont come for a while becasue I dont have enough money for them right now. Therefore Im just gonna leave them stock and upgrade After they are in.
