I have been reading up on this swap and just want to clear up some things...
I have a 99 ax15 2wd. I picked up another complete ax15 out of a late model 4wd xj. I have a 231 and front and rear axles with 3.55's along with both DS. Now am I reading right that I to swap out the main shafts if I want to keep my orig trans? The reason im trying to avoid just swapping trannys is because my xj is from Florida and is very clean. The tranny shifts perfect and even looks brand new. I guess I more want to figure out how involved the whole process will be. Anyone who has done this I would appriciate some input. I know there are some writeups on this but just wanted to make sure I knew what exactly I was getting into. Thanks ahead of time!
