OK gang, as it is already early July and it is almost too hot to want to do anything outside, this is the perfect time to be thinking about what you would like to see out of your chapter, and what you would like to expect from your elected officials. As the end of the year is fastly approaching, it will be time for elections and we will be having a few spots come open. My position as El Presidente will be up for grabs as well as Vice Prez that is currently held by Rev and Recorder which is held by BOB. I know that there are always some items that people would like to see addressed, and sometimes those items are just not feasible, but please keep in mind that any ideas that are posted in this thread or even PM'd to any of the BOD will be looked at and we will do what we can to make any changes for the better. I want to point out that your MWC BOD takes each and every question and/or complaint very seriously and we will work to see that everything is addressed that is within our power. I am also going to mention that if any MEMBER is interested in running for a postion this fall, be sure to step up and run for that position. Being on the BOD will really help you get a better understanding of the behind the scenes working of this club and how much it really takes from all those involved to make this show a success. This clubs future is in the hands of its member and leaders, so make sure that if you want to be involved in its leadership to step up and get involved on any level.

i would like to do more for our chapter, but i dont think jumping right in to prez or vice prez would be a good way to do it. i will start by helping out at WF or something

That is good to hear Rew, consider running for a position as recorder or even director in the future, those are both great entry level BOD positions and will get your feet wet enough to see if you wanted to pursue other positions after that. When we start w/ WF planning in the upcoming months, we can get you onboard with that as well, it takes a dedicated WF staff to pull it off, and someone with a brownie dessert always helps!!

Be careful what you offer... we always need help with Winterfest. Most people have no idea what happens in the background to make this event happen.

I enjoy helping with WF, I have done it for the past two WF's. I plan to continue helping with that.


On another note, Maybe we should put on some sort of fundraiser event. I know a good cause to donate to!
