Schuster trial: Testimony claims chloroform found

2:51 p.m.: VAN NUYS -- Megan Boatwright, a former employee at Larissa Schuster's research lab in Fresno, testified this afternoon in Schuster's murder trial that it was unusual when bottles of chloroform were found in the lab shortly after Schuster's husband disappeared in July 2003. Boatwright said the substance was never used in any of the tests conducted at the lab.Prosecutors have said that Schuster used chloroform to knock out her estranged husband, Timothy Schuster, before placing him in a barrel and filling it with acid.
1:18 p.m.: A former employee at Larissa Schuster's agriculture research lab in Fresno testified in Schuster’s murder trial this morning that in April 2003 he saw a blue, 55-gallon barrel in the lab -- the same kind of barrel that police discovered three months later containing the remains of Schuster’s estranged husband.
Joseph Boatwright, the employee, said he didn’t know why the barrel was at the lab, because it was unlike the barrels commonly used in the lab to dispose waste. He said Schuster told him the barrel was needed for yard clippings.
Schuster, a 47-year-old former Clovis biochemist, is accused of killing her husband, Timothy Schuster, putting his body in a barrel and filling it with acid. Her trial is being held in Los Angeles County because a judge ruled that local media attention made it too difficult to find an impartial jury in Fresno County.

I'm glad this day has come and gone, its been a long 4 1/2 years.

Wow, so does looking back at what happened, dose it now all make sence now?

Kind of makes your skin crawl thinking about it. :puke:

Crazy. I had no idea you were involved. I am glad however to quit hearing about this case, it has been going on way to long.

Wow. Glad its over for you. What a crazy world.

Well, I wish it was over...we just got back from LA having to testify again as rebuttal witnesses for the prosecution. Yay, oh what fun!! At least the crazy bitch should go down for this now that the truth is finally out. It was funny sitting there in court after we testified (wife and I), listening to our former boss spew out lies.

The case is rested on both side and the Jury gets it tomorrow sometime...I just hope the jury does their job and convicts her. :eyes:

Wooo Hoooo!!!

Larissa Schuster was found guilty today of murder in the first degree with the special circumstances conviction of murder for financial gain. This means she'll be in prison for life with no possibility for parole. Its been a long road for us and I'm glad its over.
