So, I got the queries set up so I get the only the pieces of data I want; including a TotalMO field (MO = molybdenum). Anybody know how I can get it to generate an ID or Rank field that assigns a simple numeric ID/Rank based on the TotalMO field? On the smaller one for example, the highest total producer should be "1" down to the lowest producer, which should be labeled "9".
There are a couple versions of the query set which do the same thing with slightly different criteria and more than 9 mines, so I'd need to set this up a couple times. I'd rather not just export to Excel and number them manually because I won't be here to do it much longer and the boss isn't that saavy w/CPUs in general (70-something geologist). I'd like for him to be able to run the queries(just click "Run") later when the data sets are updated. DBSEs aren't necessarily my thing, but it's where I'm at right now.
I know that Access will sort with just the field name drop downs, but I still need the mines to be labeled with their production ranks.
TIA
Brian
