Moving to Tennessee!

Just hope this bike I bought this morning gets me back on Monday. I'm actually kind of impressed it made it the 300 miles up here today with no real issues. Buying a 35 year old bike for real cheap, and 2 hours later leaving for a 5 hour ride, what could possibly go wrong?

Hey! We got something in common! I just bought a house in middle Tn, moved in yesterday, and I also just bought an antique bike! What kind of bike did you get? I got a yamaha xs850, but i haven't heard it run yet...

Yeah, that's a very cool bike! Lemme know when you want to sell it! I love the old stuff. The Cx500 is a great bike to do the café stuff to. It really pisses off the CB guys, and at swap meets everybody thinks it's a Moto Guzzi until they look real close...

Starting the drive out there with all my stuff in 10 days, planning to arrive about the 24th. If anybody wants to help me unload the truck into storage, an extra hand might be helpful

Well welcome to the SEC. I know you were looking for TN NAXJA members but you are only 45 mins from Huntsville, AL and there is a good scene here as well. We also have a few ORV parks in North Alabama and we have some National Forest trails also. Keep an eye out on here and JF as well as the local club, rocket city rock crawlers, as they do alot of trail ride throughout the year.

There are National Forrest Trails in AL? Where?

I should clarify..........they are public roads that are unimproved. They are actually pretty damn good for a mild trail ride. There is one nice trail/road about 3 miles from my house. I use it to test things on my rig. There are many trails like that all around northeast alabama that are considered "public" roads that remain severely unimproved. In fact, the only way to use them is in a 4wd vehicle. 15 miles north of me there is many of these trails. There are miles of these trails.

They remind me of the NF trails up in the North Georgia Mtns around Dahlonega and Suches area.

Gotcha.

Anybody want to help me unload a big ass Penske truck into a storage unit in Tullahoma, about the 26th? I'll buy pizza and beer.

I just finished loading, had a lot more stuff than I realized, but fit what I needed into the truck. Driving out first thing tomorrow.

I'll be pulling in Sunday, sitting in Fort Smith Arkansas right now. Taking my time, and the trucks really heavy (few thousand lbs too heavy actually). But the air force gave me 6 free travel days, so I'm using them.
