Moving to Tennessee!

Are you going to work at AEDC?

There goes the neighborhood!

You'll be just down the road then.

TN has a bunch of NAXJA people. Between Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville.

You will also have several places to go wheeling pretty close by.

So what's the better place to live, Tullahoma, Manchester or Hillsboro? I'm spending the next two months in Montgomery AL, so I plan on taking a couple weekends checking it out up there, but just wondering if any of yall have opinions on the area.

Any of those areas you mentioned are good places and they are all 15-25 minutes of each other. Manchester and Tullahoma are bigger towns with chain restaurants and stores while Hillsboro will be a small town. To be honest, the only thing I know that is in Hillsboro is the Case-IH dealer. I couldn't tell you much more.

We go shopping and to eat in Manchester. It does have a smaller town feel and is much less crowded compared to Murfreesboro (except when Bonaroo is happening). When you visit Manchester be sure to eat at the "flashing star". You won't be disappointed. J&G Pizza and steakhouse. It's a locally owned place and has good pizza and shisk-ka-bobs (sp?). FYI, I live 15 minutes from Manchester.

Tullahoma does have a pull-a-part yard.

If you have kids, I'd look at the towns that have the best education/teachers available.

Are you a test engineer? I have a buddy that works at AEDC testing jet engines.

I'd pick Manchester over tullahoma, but if I were to work in tullahoma, I'd probably try to live close to Murfreesboro and get a beater Honda or something to commute in. I like living in rural areas, but I still want to be within 30 minutes of a bigger town.

Sort of test engineer, I think the air force will have me doing more of a managment or coordination job. And no kids, so I don't care about schools.

Welcome to the SEC!

Sitting in a hotel in Manchester right now, decided to take advantage of the long weekend to explore the area and figure out roughly where I want to live, so I can start looking at houses later
