Moving to Iowa City in the fall

Hey all, Im transferring from CU in Colorado to the U of I in the fall. I wanted to make myself known and show off some pics from Colorado. Im also wondering if there is any members in the Iowa City, Ceder Rapids, Mt. Pleasant area that like to get together and wheel?

And if nobody minds posting some pics of wheeling in Eastern Iowa that would be really appreciated.

good luck finding wheeling in Eastern Iowa. There used to be one place called 600 Acres near Solon, IA......but that place was closed down to trucks/Jeeps and is only ATV and dirtbikes now.

The next closest park would probably be The Cliffs Insane Terrain in Marseilles, IL......I got pics from there in my gallery, too.

Then there is The Badlands in Attica, IN.....McCaslin Mountain in northern WI......Iron Range in Gilbert, MN......Apple Valley Farms a few times a year in WI.....Flat Nasty near Salem, MO.....etc....

I do think there are a few clubs with private lands they wheel on in central IA....but I've never been.

There is also a place south of DesMoines that Make it or Break it (MIOBI) has to wheel at. I have heard that it is some good wheeling. There are a few members on teh baords that wheel there and they could give you a better of what they have. There is a site also, miobi.org I think is it.

well, i live in Iowa City. and the only good place to wheel is private ground, about a mile from Hamilton Ia. land is owned buy a guy who founded MIOBI 4wd club. i have been there several times over the years, and it's a good spot ( for Iowa) owner allows the general public in about 3-4 times per year, or you can join the club and potentially wheel more often.
